Kuwait is a core OPEC producer whose output is dominated by the Greater Burgan complex in the south — one of the largest oil fields ever developed — supplemented by a growing focus on the northern fields such as Raudhatain and Sabriyah. The country is working to sustain and expand capacity, which includes developing heavier and more challenging crude in the north, so activity blends high-volume development and workover drilling in mature giants with newer, more technically demanding wells.

Nearly all upstream operations run through Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), the state operator, which procures equipment and services through an approved vendor framework. The combination of aging super-giants and new development areas keeps both routine tubular demand and higher-specification requirements in play.

Development and workover programmes in large, mature reservoirs demand robust, certified strings and dependable workover equipment.
