Drill String & Tool Rental FAQs

How drill string and downhole tool rentals work — pricing, terms, delivery and inspection.

How much does it cost to rent drill pipe?
Drill pipe rental is quoted per foot per day (or per metre per day) and depends on size, grade, connection, quantity and rental duration. A typical 5" S-135 range-2 string is priced on a daily or monthly rate with reduced long-term rates. Because pricing moves with availability and logistics, we quote each string individually — send your specs and we respond within the hour.
What is the minimum rental period for drilling tools?
Most operators rent on a daily rate with a common minimum of 30 days, though we offer both short-term (spot) and long-term frame agreements. Minimums vary by tool type and region; specialized fishing and pressure-control tools may have their own terms.
How quickly can rental tools be delivered to the rig?
From basin-adjacent yards and regional partner locations we typically dispatch in-stock drill pipe and handling tools within hours and offer 24/7 emergency support. International deliveries depend on customs and freight but are expedited through our regional partners.
Do you rent internationally?
Yes. We serve every major hydrocarbon basin worldwide through a network of regional rental and logistics partners, handling export packing, certification and customs documentation for the destination country.
Can I rent a complete drill string rather than individual tools?
Yes. We supply complete rental strings — drill pipe, heavy-weight drill pipe, drill collars and the BHA tools to go with them — matched to your well program, so you source the entire string from one point of contact.
